Jackelin Veloz, Ed.S., holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education from the University of Miami in Florida. She also holds an Ed.S. in School Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She is a Spanish-speaking, Licensed Psychological Associate and is also licensed by the N.C. State Department of Public Instruction as a school psychologist.

Jackie has worked with adults and children, including preschoolers and adolescents, since 1995. In addition to working as a private practitioner, she was employed by Children's Home Society in Florida for 3 years and the Wake County Public School system for 8 years as a Spanish speaking school psychologist serving multiple schools.

Jackie provides evaluations of children, adolescents and adults experiencing learning issues, attention issues, personality concerns, second language acquisition and behavioral-emotional difficulties. Evaluations for developmental delays such as Autism are also offered for preschoolers and children. She was trained and certified through TEACCH to administer autism assessments to toddlers up to adults. Jackie is also certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She provides individual and group counseling; parent education; bicultural as well as bilingual and social skills training for all of her clients. During the Spring and the Fall she offers a social skills training group for children 6-10. She works with families experiencing depression, anxiety, divorce, trauma, and PTSD. She also provides therapy for broken heart syndrome (Takotsubo) with complimentary alternative therapies to traditional therapy.
