Jessica started her social work career in 2001 working with the elderly and their families.  In 2016 Jessica began serving youth and families in their homes throughout 5 counties in central North Carolina.  Over the last 4 years Jessica has focused on individual therapy for women and girls that have experienced a trauma in their life and are looking for a way to move forward without constant pain of the past.

Jessica specializes in treating women ages 5 and up that are looking for trauma-informed Christian counseling. A traumatic experience can be anything that has been emotionally difficult to endure. Some examples may be physical abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, school violence, divorce, death, disruption in your living environment, homelessness, or witnessing someone else experience a traumatic event. These experiences may cause feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, guilt, depression, anxiety, avoidance, and nightmares. Carrying on with your day-to-day life becomes difficult.

Primarily utilizing the teachings from the Bible, Jessica will connect the dots between what you are going through, what the scriptures say, and your relationship with Jesus Christ. Jessica also use’s clinical skills and training such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), Trauma-Informed CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to help process your traumatic experience and learn to cope.
